Our 2019 Open Days were a huge success! Once again we were blown away with the enormous support we received from visitors over the five days. We can’t thank you enough for coming out and joining us once again; through high heat and even pouring rain!
The figures are still being calculated but we are so proud to say that this year’s Open Days were the best we’ve had to date! All of the funds raised will go towards the cats in our care, investing in The Big Cat Sanctuary and in-situ conservation projects we support around the world.

It has been an emotional day for safariLIVE as we bid the Mara adieu, for now. David composed, wrote and performed his tribute to the Mara this morning and we all felt his emotional connection to this most astounding place. We would like to extend our most heartfelt thank yous and goodbyes to the Kenyan crew that made the Mara possible.

To our favourite Kenyan naturalist, David, your charisma, sense of humor and expert knowledge will be sorely missed.

To the camera operators Archie, Manu, Bungei and James, your stunning imagery, expert skill and precise composition never made any landscape more beautiful.

To the tech team, Edwin and Martin, who fiercely fought the technical gremlins, we salute you for your never-give-up attitude and stoic dedication to making our Mara feeds possible.

To the production team, Lucy and Kefa, without your fine examples of leadership, hard work and determination we would not have been able to produce such an incredible safari experience.

To the camp staff, our filming crew could not have managed all of their greatness if it were not for the delicious food, excellent maintenance and detailed housekeeping.

We wish all of you the very best for your new adventures. We'll see you all soon!
