This video shows our Serval mum, Samia, with her 6 week old kittens. They are getting braver at exploring their enclosure now, with the reassuring licks and cuddles to encourage them from mum, Samia. Samia is never far away while they play fight or explore new areas of the enclosure, and she is very quick to step in if they seem slightly spooked by anything (such as noisy lions and tigers!). They seem to be getting even more bouncy by the day!

The Big Cat Sanctuary is set in the heart of the countryside at Smarden, in Kent. The peace and tranquillity of the site provides a sanctuary and excellent conditions for the successful breeding of the beautiful, yet endangered cats both large and small within the European Endangered Species Breeding http://www.whf.org.uk

This video shows our Serval mum, Samia, with her two bouncy and very energetic 10 week old kittens. They are getting braver, and bigger, by the day now!

The kittens still enjoy playing on their own inside their house. Tula looks in every now and then to check they are behaving! Watch this space for future updates on this adorable little family, who are getting more inquisitive about their outside enclosure. Video taken by Jackie Thomas at WHF

With three siblings around you can always find someone to play with, and sometimes find unusual, new objects placed in the enclosure to investigate.

The kittens like to sit and watch the world go by, either from a hiding place in the bushes or from the top of their rocks, platforms and even their firehose hammock! You can see they are changing their fur colour as they get their adult winter coats, particularly the larger male kitten that is very ginger. Lots of claw sharpening going on, watch out Mr Vet man, they are getting ready for your next visit! They are also still working on their little mouthing actions, but it is still quite silent so far, rather than the little mumbling sound they should make when they chitter.

Sometimes you just have to sit and watch the world go by, and maybe pose for a few photos, either on your own or with one or more of your siblings.

The kittens are developing the typical Pallas Cat 'jumpy' movements, although this kitten is being a little over the top 'jumpy' when playing hide and seek with me!
